New Robots for Briarwood Elementary School and Brooklake Elementary School

Donate today for new robots!

This school year, the Florham Park School District is launching STEAM classes at both Briarwood Elementary School (Pre-K–2) and Brooklake Elementary School (3-5). The program emphasizes student voice and empowerment, creativity, school community, and real-world problem solving. These new robots are for the engineering unit. Students will work with age-appropriate robotics kits and tools that foster collaboration and critical thinking.

We’re almost there thanks to 22 donations as of November 2025! Just $2,500 more needed before December 19th. We are so close to the $7,100 total.

Help us reach our goal and donate today!

Robots for Briarwood and Brooklake!

Donate today and help us bring new robots into the elementary schools! Bee-Bots and Ozobots for Briarwood; Finch 2.0 for Brooklake. The robots will be used in STEAM class, STEAM Club at Brooklake, Art Club, and even by Peer Leaders.

Thank you!

Our students deserve the best! Help us bring the future to Florham Park classrooms: your donation to our fundraiser for new robots will directly equip Briarwood and Brooklake teachers with new technology, empowering and inspiring their students for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond.

The Florham Park School District is working to enhance the STEAM program at Briarwood (Pre-K-2) and Brooklake (3-5).  To get ready for the Engineering Unit, the FPEF is partnering with school administrators to raise money for new robotics kits!

We are seeking support from the community to raise $7,100 to replace the current robotics equipment. The new robotics equipment includes:

  • Bee-Bots for PreK and Kindergarten at Briarwood Elementary, introducing early coding concepts.

  • Ozobots for 1st and 2nd Graders at Briarwood, allowing them to "program" robots with color patterns.

  • Finch 2.0 robots for all 3rd-5th grade students and the STEAM club at Brooklake, growing with students from block-based to advanced text-based programming.

The robots will be used in STEAM class as well as by Peer Leaders, STEAM Club, and Art Club.

Bee-Bot is designed for students in PreK through second grade. Bee-Bot may be programmed to move forward and back and turn left and right by pressing the corresponding arrow keys on its back. Press the green GO button and watch Bee-Bot follow the steps. Children are captivated by Bee-Bot and eager to send it on its way.  Bee-Bots will be used by PreK and Kindergarten classes.

An Ozobot is a small, robotic toy that helps elementary school students learn basic coding concepts by following color patterns drawn on paper, essentially allowing them to "program" the robot's movements with colors, making it a fun and engaging way to introduce critical thinking and problem-solving skills within a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) context; students can draw color sequences on paper to control the robot's actions like turning, stopping, or speeding up, all without needing to write any code on a computer. The classroom set of Ozobots can be used with all 1st and 2nd Grade students during STEAM class.

Finch 2.0: a robot designed to grow with students. From icon- and block-based coding to advanced text-based programming, the Finch is a tool for elementary school, AP computer science, and every class in between. This low floor, high ceiling tool includes materials designed for teachers who are new to coding so they can meet the needs of students at all experience levels.  Finch 2.0 will be used by students at Brooklake.

Your support will directly empower our students and help prepare them for a technology-rich future.  Ready to make a difference? Donate today!

We believe that every student deserves the best possible education delivered by well funded, well resourced educators. Together, we can inspire our students, empower our teachers, and engage our community.  Thank you for your support.
