RISE Program

Inclusive evening program held monthly on Wednesdays at Brooklake School for students of all abilities!

Recreation Inclusion Sports Engagement

RISE brings our special education students together with volunteer partners for one-hour, inclusive, non-competitive sports clinics led by Florham Park special education staff where every child can participate and shine​. Parents/guardians stay on site during the program.

Through inclusive sports clinics and educational initiatives, we provide opportunities for children to build confidence, self-esteem, and lasting friendships in a supportive and non-competitive environment.


Youth Partners: Our commitment to disability awareness training instills tolerance, acceptance, and empathy in students, equipping them with the tools to embrace diversity and champion inclusivity within our community.

When?

Monthly on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 PM

What activities will be involved?

Recreational equipment will be available for youth to participate in small-group partner-based activities. Teacher-led group activities will involve all youth and partners.

Why?

RISE creates inclusive sports experiences that build confidence, friendships, and a stronger community.

Who runs and manages the program?

The RISE program is managed by the FPEF. A Florham Park special education teacher leads the activities for the kids. Partners are trained by special education staff.
