On behalf of all the staff and students at Briarwood, the Florham Park Education Foundation would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for fully funding the new Briarwood Makerspace!
Through the generosity of our donors the FPEF was able to fully fund both phases of this project. We purchased furniture, lego walls, legos, gear building kits, tech machines kits, STEM learn and play bins, Makerspace task cards, Makerspace materials cart, magnetic building blocks, and STEM challenge learning cards.
The block play that happens in the Makerspace comes with many benefits for students including improvement in:
Problem-solving
Creativity
Self-expression
Mathematical skills
Scientific thinking
Understanding of continuity and permanence
The ability to manage and overcome stress and frustration
Every Florham Park student will have the opportunity to interact with this space for many years to come.
