This grant expands interactive read aloud texts to reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of Florham Park students. Interactive Read Aloud is one of the most essential components of Reading Workshop in developing children’s literacy and love of reading, along with a spotlight on  #OwnVoices authors -  because representation and authenticity matters throughout the school year. Highlighting BIPOC, different cultures, ethnicities, languages, religions, gender, social class, and ability allows a celebration of diversity each day, not just in designated months.
